Colombia Natural
A magazine promoting environmental awareness and travel across Colombia, featuring traveler stories from the country's natural destinations and tips to prepare for the journey.
Context
Colombia Natural is an editorial project designed as a compact, immersive travel magazine that highlights the vast biodiversity, rich landscapes, and unique travel destinations of Colombia. Recognizing that traditional magazines can be bulky for travelers on the move, this publication was developed in an A5 format (14.7 × 20.9 cm). This portable, ergonomic size makes it an ideal companion to carry easily in a backpack while exploring different regions.
Objectives
- Visual storytelling: showcase the natural beauty and contrasting environments of Colombia — from coastal desert cliffs to lush rivers and dry ecosystems — through high-impact photography.
- Practical travel guide: provide clear, actionable information, including geographic details, packing recommendations ("What to bring"), and tips tailored to each location.
- Authentic narrative: share personal stories and first-hand experiences from travelers to create a human connection with the destination.
- Functional, compact design: a clean, visually compelling A5 layout that balances large photography with readable, well-structured body text.
