Business Rules — interfaz en un portátil dentro de una oficina

Making business rules easier to manage

Business Rules is a project for Carvajal Tecnología y Servicios focused on configuring validations for purchase orders. The solution brings together rule creation, configuration and document consultation so business users can review alerts and make informed decisions.

Understanding the users

The platform is aimed at administrative technicians in client companies, supported by online training and meetings for customized implementations. The project includes two personas: Amanda, a commercial director interested in improving company processes, and Fernando, an IT researcher focused on tools that help his team work more effectively.

From requirements to interface

A workshop with the data and product teams supported idea sharing and initial wireframe sketches. Technicians translated these sketches into Excel documents that became the foundation for the design work. Engineering requirements guided the process, connecting functional needs with the structure of the interface.

A guided rule creation flow

The interface separates basic information, rule creation and confirmation. Users select functions and conditions, combine them into a sequence and review the resulting flow. A document consultation view brings together records and their statuses to support the review of validation results.

An identity within the CEN ecosystem

The visual identity gives the product “Reglas de Negocio” its own mark while incorporating the CEN logo. The interface carries this identity through deep blue headers, light work areas and a consistent visual hierarchy across configuration and consultation screens.
